Blog Classics: Washington DC, Fall 2001

Of all of the photos I have taken, this is one of my top favorites. It was a taken with a Canon AE-1 on slide film that was pushed two stops, hence the slight grain on it. It is a statue in my old neighborhood in Washington. The most interesting aspect about this photo is that this is a “one-shot.” I put the camera up, snapped the photo and that was it. No second views or takes. That was it. Also, no altering or anything. That’s how it looked when it wence done came from the camera, just as God intended, or in this case, Joseph Niepce intended.
