The creative muse strikes at the weirdest of moments

And I don’t mean when one is about to sleep, showering or watching such quality programming as “The Real Housewives of ______” (you fill in the name).  No, this time the creative muse struck me more in a moment of necessity.  Chuck Bass II, my camera (don’t judge about the name) has two assistants.  One is a 55-250 millimeter lens and the other is a 18-55 millimeter lens.  The 55-250 is actually my younger child, but is responsible and works hard.  The 18-55 is my older child but seems to be going through some kind of rebellious phase right now, deciding to work sometimes, and not other times.  Those times also coincide with when I have a really perfect shot set up.  So, I have to turn to my younger child to help me.

On my recent sojourn down the eastern seaboard, I saw many a mechanical device and I decided to photograph it with my 55-250 mm lens.  See if you like the results:
