Ashes

The Museum of Science featured a poignant exhibit about the lost city of Pompeii.  Pompeii, in case you don’t know, was an Italian city that was buried under volcanic ash for close to two thousand years.  Volcanic ash buried the cities inhabitants, but also preserved their way of life.

It looks like a lovely way of life:
