Harvard Beats Yale 29-29

A couple of years ago, I watched a fascinating little movie called Harvard Beats Yale 29-29.  I watched it for a couple of reasons.  For one thing, I absolutely love sports documentaries.  I would watch a documentary on curling, if it were interesting enough.  So I watched this documentary and I realized very quickly that this stadium where the game from the movie was played is about a mile away from where I live.  I go to Harvard Square pretty often, so I figured why not throw in a football game.

The game played in Harvard Beats Yale 29-29 was absolutely amazing.  Harvard scored 16 points in 42 seconds and nearly everyone who played in it became a legend.  Yale was undefeated that year, Harvard as well and then this happened.

Well, the game I attended, the results were more clear cut.  Harvard beat Yale 34 to 24.  I have to admit I got a new sense of respect for football while being there.  I was rooting for Harvard because they are the hometown team and Yale isn’t.  I’m obviously not a Harvard alum.

On a technical note, these were shot using this insane bazooka lens I borrowed from a photography shop.  It was a 100 to 400 mm lens that weighed a ton and could probably launch the space shuttle if it wanted to.  Thank god for digital cards.  Otherwise, so much film would have been wasted on my out of focus missed attempts to use this behemoth.  Let’s have a look see at the results, shall we?:
