Usually I make jokes up here about how I risk life and limb for this blog, going to mountains and enduring strange conditions underwater and out of the water.
But truly this time, I got injured during the course of taking the photos. No, no need to worry about me. It was all very minor.
Here’s the story. It is summer in Massachusetts, that time of the year when the mercury goes up and it is time to go outside. Again and again. So every summer weekend, I go somewhere with water, trees, rocks or all of the above. This past weekend I visited a place called Halibut Point near Rockport, here in Massachusetts. It is truly lovely:
Well, it looks lovely. But getting these photos was pretty hard. These rocks were crazy slippery and me being me, I slipped on them. The first time I got a giant scraped knee and a really nicely colored bruise on my knee. The second time I got a nice scratch on my arm and my hand. Oh well. The knee will heal, the hand too. But Halibut point is a really lovely place and I really do want to go back there again. Perhaps next time I will wear my ski helmet though. More pictures:
