One of my most prized possessions is a book I have called “1000 photos of 1000 cities.” I bought it because it was a whole $3 and it has a photo of Copenhagen in the front flap from the 1950s. It is a wonderful photograph not because of it composition but because of the positivity and promise it seems to show.

I also tried to infuse the two photos above with the same sort of feeling. The Stockholm one, I wanted it to look like a postcard you’d send a friend after a stop over in Sweden, circa 1955. Exotic, but yet familiar. Miami’s Delano is a different story, sort of something a bit more decadent, a bit more earthy and warm.

Anyway, so there’s the thought process and there is the stuff.
