Matching edition.  I have a good friend who we all call “Matchy Matchy.”  He really makes an effort to match his hat to his shirt to his shoes.  He has a keen eye for color and form.  I told him to become a fashion designer, but he doesn’t want to.  Too bad.  I bet he’d be really good at it.

Today he and I and a friend of ours had lunch together.  He’s was decked out in his usual gear.  And I was ready with my trusty camera to capture it all.  Now the thing was he was wearing Gucci sneakers and a Gucci belt.  God bless you if you can afford that.  And his friend was wearing the exact same thing:

 

 

And funnily enough, we got out of lunch and we went over to see a group of bag pipers play.  As you guessed it, they too matched:

 

 

 

Well, I guess I declare this a trend.  Like Bill Cunningham says, if I see it again and again, it is a trend.

The house of the rich father of the girlfriend whose boyfriend wants to get his approval.  The house of the rich investor who may or may not be crocked.  The house of a grandmother who is very rich.  This is that place:

Boston Fashion File Goes Back to School!!!  Actually, the following photos are not from Boston, but from Rhode Island.  Well, the campus of Brown University to be exact.

Brown University is preppy and quirky.  And that was in full effect on my visit there.  First, pure preppy:
