God, I hope not

God, I don’t get in touch often, but right now I am.  Please, please do not let this happen:

For those of you who don’t know, this sign indicates this person wants Arizona Governor Jan Brewer to become president in 2012.  Jan Brewer, who passed that ridiculous immigration law to lead America, full of immigrants, includes the person who writes this blog.

The Brights

Usually I’d stand across the street from this type of scene and stand there waiting for the person to pop their head up, but this time I decided to take a different approach.  I wanted to focus on the bright blue of the hat and I think I got a pretty good shot:

Beautiful Danger

The sunset light gives places the most beautiful appearance, but can also make for difficulties in photographing.  Sunset light messes with the light meter, making it difficult to figure out exactly what to meter off of.

Now those are just the technical aspects.  Let’s get to the whole look of things.  Sunset light gives a scene a sort of dangerous quality, I think.  I know it is supposed to be golden and lovely, but something just always makes me thing of danger.  I don’t know why.  Do you not think there is something weird and kind of off about these, but yet lovely:

The stars

Sometimes when life gives you lemons, you get salt and tequila.

Now that I have that one out of the way, I decided to put up another set of fireworks photos.  The reason for my declaration was the fact that I had to move from my prime spot overlooking the Charles River and to a place with trees and people.  But then standing there I started to think, these fireworks look like something amazing, so much more than just a regular firework.

Take this for example:
