Just kidding. But I do have a real inspiration for my last series of photos:
This is Nikolaj Koster-Waldau and he usually wears clothes. He is a Danish actor and was on a show called “New Amsterdam” for about 10 seconds. New Amsterdam was a really good, well written show about a New York City police detective who is immortal. The show was smart and clever and of course, doomed from its first episode. But I enjoyed it, because let’s face it, Mr. Koster-Waldau, not bad to look at, but they also had portions of the show where they would talk about the history of New York. I haven’t really had a chance to explore the city since I got my new camera, so I decided to do a day in the life kind of a thing, inspired by New Amsterdam and the transcendent looks of Mr. Koster-Waldau. First stop, Times Square:
I passed this guy in Times Square. Made a nice composition, no?
I hate the subway, but I have to admit, I get some good shots there:
This was my favorite subway shot:
I went to Chinatown. It had all kinds of weird trinkets around that were imminently photograph-able:
This warrior was great:
He was all over the place, for some reason:
Well, this explains a lot and notice how the guy in the photo doesn’t look the least bit worried about Bush being dropped on his head?
Took tons of people on the street photos in Chinatown. These girls walking were just perfect:
Nice angle on this one:
Lucky shot:
This guy on Canal Street did not want me taking his photo. Ooops:
Street scene, with a “nice” name for the place:
Remember that Led Zeppelin album cover? This was my attempt at it. It also features one of my New York favorites, old signs:
Found art. The more I look at this shot, the more I like it:
Finally and predictably, what would a trip to New York be without a few time exposures?
Hello, dear
It’s Lina
Nice photos and all!
Almost makes me miss the East Coast.
Thanks for the praise. Always appreciated. Stay tuned. I update really often.
I do, too (except when my mother is visiting), but a lot of it’s in Russian. LJ is kind of my platform to improve my writing nowadays.
