Attention passengers, the train from 1940 has arrived

HA! In an immense change in “editorial” “policy,” I have decided to post photos of a train from 1940 instead of making a train from now look like 1940. Yes, I know this is a radical shift from my usual posting of photos of trains from now and making them look like 1940. Anyways, into the time machine we go:

After poking straining myself to take a look inside the train, the train’s operator happily let me in. I have to say that it was quite the sight, just getting off the T in South Station to see this beautiful piece of machinery. Two more pics, to round it out:

OK, pitchfork wielding villagers, yes, it is overexposed, but I am kind of experimenting with overexposure as a good thing in my photos lately, so bear with me. One more? Yeah, I can do that:

I thought mostly black and white fit with this train. Like I mentioned, I got a looky-loo inside and sorry for there is just one photo:

I know, just one measly shot, but this one was the best. The train itself, if you will take words instead of photos was really wonderful. It was truly like something like something out of Alfred Hitchcock or some wonderful movie staring Cary Grant, who has a secret, who meets a mystery woman on a train across America. Or something.

You know what? Sometimes the most interesting and magical things happen to us in the most mundane of places.
