Almost one year ago I came to a startling realization.  I needed to photograph Barbie.  OK, stay with me here.  I needed to photograph Barbie, sure, but how was I going to do that?  I didn’t play with the doll as a kid, I didn’t own any, didn’t have access to any, so how was I going to do it?

Well, by going to down to my then local FAO Schwatrz and doing it.  The results were predictably very lovely and surprisingly popular.  In commemoration of that fateful day, may I present the Barbie for 2010:
