No matter what this was, I was going to go over and photograph it. Well, let’s get to the first photo:
Oh that is pretty close to perfect, I’ll say. There will be an entire story about who these people are, but for now, all you get to know is that this was a troupe of street performers in my beloved Downtown Crossing. Like I said, they were street performers and there will be an entry but something about their bodies reminded me of Leni Riefenstahl’s photos of the Nuba people of Sudan. Please do not send me mails about how I am a racist or how I am equating someone as controversial as Leni Riefenstahl with something like this. I liked the content and I wanted to reproduce it. Maybe one day I will travel to Sudan, but for now I have these charming boys from Downtown Crossing.

I was going to title this “I got a shoot with Sports Illustrated” because of their quality:
I’d like to take this moment to emphasize how difficult it was to take these photos. These guys weren’t exactly standing still. All I thought was “just don’t put the camera down and don’t take your finger off the shutter.” I guess all in all it did work. Let’s take a look at the rest. Just a slight warning. There are repeated photos of the same guy in here a couple of times because, well, I thought he was very handsome. I am nothing if not shallow and predictable. Here goes:
