I swear at least half the photos I take are inspired by images I saw when I was a kid.  And this image particularly fascinated me when I was a kid:

I would sit and look at this all day long and think “how could the eyes look like eyes, but be peas?  How could his lips be lips but be cherries too?”  This kind of stuff used to really fascinated me as a kid.  I actually got a book as a kid called “How Does it Work?” that I used to spend hours reading.
