Don Draper, forget your sad sob story and your philandering. Roger, you are great, but there is no way you’ll ever come close to these these gents. Harry Crane, wimp. Maybe Henry Francis might actually consider doing this, but probably not likely.
These are the real Mad Men. Intrepid fliers. Men of the skies.
I’m talking about the annual Institute of Contemporary Art diving contest, held yesterday, which featured flipping, twisting, flipping, twisting and Greg Louganis. That’s a guy who one four gold medals and expressed complete and total fear at the prospect of plunging from the heights that our intrepid Mad Men regularly descend from.
Last year I was standing underneath the action. This year I got a much better spot, to the side of the action in the Splash Zone. Last year I couldn’t even really see the competitors. I noticed a pony tailed gent called Orlando Duque. This year I got a better view of the gladiators of the sky.
