As The Grammar Book Turns

My friends read this blog and they know what I do for a living.  But my worldwide fan base (I mean the 40 or so people a day who are directed here by Google) doesn’t know what I do for a living.

So well, after having this blog for SIX years and doing my current job for close to four years, it is time I reveal what it is.

I am a school teacher.  I don’t teach second grade, but rather adults how to speak English.

It is a wild job.  I’m part cat herder, part psychologist, part referee.  You get to know all different types of people in the job.

This hilarious little charmer isn’t my student anymore.  He came to do his homework in my classroom.  I thought that was nice.
