I’m an angel trapped inside of a snow globe.  There is no way out:

Grabbed a few friends, went to the North End.  Had a very enjoyable afternoon.  First, we saw a very bright, be-wreathed saint:

And we stopped to get a nice cup of coffee at Mike’s:

No flying meteors.  No devil running through Boston Common.

Christmas tree ornament edition.

Yesterday I went to Faneuil Hall to do some last minute Christmas shopping.  Just poked around to find some things for friends and family.  No big deal.  I spotted a Christmas ornament shop.  I went in to see what they had.

(Now we pause because the pictures I am about to show deserve one.)

Now usually these posts have to do with people and their fashion.  This is the first one about things and it could more accurately be called “American Christmas Ornament Fashion File” but let’s just leave it at Boston Fashion File.

OK, I think we are ready for our first ornament.  They will get progressively stranger as we go on:

 

Merry Spaceman-mas??  I guess???  OK, but this is still kind of cute.  But what does this have to do with Christmas??:

I was walking through Faneuil Hall just to get some lunch, when I saw a giant huddle of people.  Intrigued, I stopped to see what was going.  It turned out they were going to do a bit of the Nutcracker Ballet right there.  Lucky me:
