Maybe it doesn’t seem to represent that much of a departure for me with the photos, but when I snapped this one I definitely felt like there was something in its composition that I hadn’t done before.  In my mind the photo is divided into fours with its composition and I don’t really do that.

I don’t think this one is too new for me, although in the initial shots, I was just focused on the man hole cover and the hand print.  One of the benefits of the digital camera is that you just keep shooting and I did and I got this one.

This reminded me of a Gordon Parks photo I saw a long time ago.  I wanted it to seem like the mannequin had just sat down and spread out her dress for everyone to see.  Come to think of it though, I am not sure how she would have gotten that done without a head.

A lot of my photos are looking like advertisements lately.  I’ve given it a lot of thought and I think I am just missing the gang at Sterling Cooper or whatever (spoiler alert) they decided to call themselves at the end of season 3.

While I wait for my beloved Roger Sterling to return, I can take photos that look like ads:

Also, anyone planning on any kind of long rants, I am not endorsing Starbucks.  I took the photo because I liked the pattern of the ice in the plastic cup.  Regardless, please keep any and all rants to under five paragraphs.
