In 1990, the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum got robbed.  Yes, priceless masterpieces fell into the hands of bandits, but more importantly, it made it so you can’t take photos in there.  Or maybe Mrs Gardner’s ghost said you can’t.  Who knows.  I mean that woman was kind of weird.

Well, anyway, there is a gift shop full of insane things like the fool’s dictionary, that I will excerpt here, without comment.  Because it requires no further comment:

I go to school.  I attend school.  Right now the attending school part of my schedule has taken over, as it is the end of the semester, so I have moved into a cave.  I mean not literally a cave, although I went to a cave in Poland when I in college that I definitely would have considered living in.

Because of a character in my life I like to call Prince Excelsior Pontiff Incarnate (graduate school friends, you know who I am referring to), I have been forced to give up my comfortable apartment with its climate control system, bed, bathroom and tyrannosaurus rex, to take up residence in a cave.

Well, I don’t know what these lovely young people were talking about, but I saw them on a recent visit to Widener Library at Harvard University.  I thought they looked interesting.

And I thought it would be funny to speculate about what they were talking about.  They were at Harvard, so their topic of conversation was probably pretty intellectual.  Or maybe just kind of workaday.  I mean people who go to Harvard are people too:
