The John Joseph Moakley Court House is a federal court house on Boston Harbor.  Honestly, I thought that unless I had committed a very serious crime, I would never have to go inside.  But I was lucky enough to do so on Saturday to photograph quite the event.  More on that in an upcoming entry.

It was truly a privilege to get to see the inside of this beautiful place:

Never a dull moment when your life is full of funny characters.  In this case, a friend who comes from rather hot climes coming to the rather cold climes of Boston in February.  Did I mention he doesn’t exactly own a hat or winter shoes for that matter?  Well, that explains some of the funny facial expressions.

Enough articles and uses of the word “Queen” for now?

Well, today Helen Mirren makes her first appearance on my blog.  Today she was Queen of Harvard, receiving the Hasty Pudding Theatrical award for Woman of the Year.  Receiving the award involves being paraded through the streets of Cambridge like a true Queen, which Ms. Mirren is.  May I also add that she’s much more elegant than the Queen she played and was very gracious to everyone.

A Libyan zooms down the slopes at breakneck pace.  Skiers (meaning yours truly) are later forced to carry their skis through woods and then reattach them on a very steep slope because of said Libyan’s misdirection.
