Goof Ball Olympics

One day I will attend the Olympics.  One day with my camera, whose name is Chumlee.  Actually, I have three cameras.  They are named the Old Man, Rick and Chumlee.  These photos were taken with Rick.  Yeah, I know they are the main characters from Pawn Stars, but I happen to love that show and Chumlee is my favorite character.

Anyway, like on the show, Rick (the camera, not the bald pawn broker) took these today.  More to follow, as this is an ongoing story.

So I took Rick over to the Goof Ball Olympics and I saw this.  I nearly collapsed in laughter.  These guys know how to put on a good show:

Salem, The Black Cat

I never watched Sabrina the Teenage Witch, but I’m told that there was a cat on the show called “Salem” as this is the town where women were burned as witches.

Salem is a thoroughly charming place and I really wish it were known for something else other than witches.  That said, here is lovely shot I got there yesterday of a little girl with her black cat, in Salem:

I love the joy on the little girl’s face and the weird, contorted, not exactly thrilled cat.

Wrong Side of the Camera Goes Hollywood

Cue the megaphones.  Let me put on my neck scarf and get my director’s chair ready.

I’m ready for my closeup, Mr. Demille.

Wrong Side of the Camera is going Hollywood.

I know you my reading public have waiting with bated breath for this moment.

For tonight’s feature we have a real life movie star by the name of Josh Lucas, who just happened to be at the 1920’s Jazz Age party.  How did I get a picture of this real life bonafide movie star?  Well, I was scanning the audience for some kind of good photo and spotted him.  He was good enough not to notice that I was snapping a photo of him.

In case you don’t know, Josh Lucas starred in the breezy Reece Witherspoon chick flick Sweet Home Alabama.  He was also in an adorable little film called “Second Hand Lions” which includes the immortal line “you bought a SECOND HAND LION?”  Love it.

Well, Josh Lucas, welcome to Wrong Side of the Camera:

I shot him in classic style.
