OK, that is a hand reaching out of a window in a Bologna neighborhood. I am thinking it was a maid cleaning an apartment who was also smoking a cigarette at the same time. She got a little suspicious when she saw me taking the photos, but I stopped. Still got an interesting photo, I think.

Silvio and Marilyn
Together again, as god intended:
In case you don’t know, the Silvio above is Silvio Berlusconi, Italian media magnate, prime minister and walking advertisement for the restoration of the monarchy in Italy. The man owns most of the major Italian media networks and AC Milan. I was watching Mediaset, his channel, when I saw the guy with needles in his face.
Silvio also famously had to apologize for saying that he wanted to see our new tanned president and also for pointing out to the head of the Italian socialist party would make a good candidate for a role in a movie as a concentration camp guard.
Lately though attention is off of Silvio’s stupid public pronouncements and onto his stupider private life. His wife, who he met when she was dancing naked in front of him, is demanding a divorce for his dating an 18-year-old girl.
So, Silvio, I salute you. The new hair plugs look great and don’t listen to the naysayers. The caftan will return to style, I swear.

The Italians
One more museum, one more exhibit, what the, oh my god!
So I went to a museum of ancient things here in Bologna. Yeah, I am sure it has a name, but I can’t remember it right now. I am one jaded person because I am a frequent visitor to museums, so it didn’t make a huge impression on me. Italy itself, from my three days here, is a lovely place, but it was a museum with old things. Nothing too new in other words. Until I saw this:
I was kind of wondering if this was part of the exhibit or another exhibit onto itself, but these delightful Italians are just preparing a new exhibit and have decided to keep the wing open, to let freakazoid tourists photograph these things as they go. And we do as the museum tells us, of course:
