I am home for Christmas, so no long walks around New York for me now, so the pictures are considerably less urban. But I hope still interesting, I hope:

Just sort of New England Christmas looking, that’s all.

OK, yes, I have posted photos up here of trees and nature before, but they are usually in an urban setting. I am not a nature photographer and I don’t claim to be. I do try though:

This was a tough one. I took about 25 photographs of the steam and I wanted to get that vision of the guy on top of the building sort of reaching up for the steam. As frequently happens, that just wasn’t coming together, but I love the steel buildings and the whole thing of this one.

God, I feel like Mr. Darcy, but my vain struggle was with photographing the Flatiron building. Yeah, pretty building but hard to photograph properly and not to mention, photographed many times over. Well, covered in snow, it is pretty lovely:

That after living in this city for so many years I would not feel the need to photograph it constantly. Well, you’d be wrong:

Sometimes I want reality in my photos. Sometimes I want fakeness. This time I went for fake with the post production special effects. The results? Well, you be the judge:

I like my photos to reflect photo realism, which are paintings made to look like photos. But this is an actual photo because I can’t paint. Hence I take photos.
