I never tire of this

Point camera, shoot into sun. You are never supposed to do this, but hey, I was never really good at following rules anyway. My first shots like this was of the bridge between two islands in Denmark being built. The shots were beautiful, so I have continued with this. Here’s another in color:

For the photo nerds out there, I did not add any vignetting to this thing. It just happened naturally.

And, a few diagonals:

Doesn’t this look like a picture your grandmother would take with her Kodak Brownie?

Ain’t she pretty?

Rainology

I had to leave my apartment and it was raining outside, really bad. Boy, was I happy, but as usual, I made the best of it. That means taking my handy-dandy camera and snapping as many shots as I could of the rain. I hid under a canopy. One short circuited camera from rain picture taking that cost $200 to fix taught me that lesson. I got a lot of shots, but this one was my favorite:

Altered states:

City rise

Lovely sorta sunrise over the buildings in Madison Square Park, a sight I am lucky enough to see every day now. Now that I am working. And no longer a vampire. Getting up early, yeah that will take some getting used to.

Walking into the abyss

OK, its the entrance to an old, abandoned pool that is now a performance space in the wilds of Brooklyn. Here it is as it really looks, sorta:

This is the McCarren Pool in Williamsburg, my latest obsession. Look forward to many more photos of it.
