Last Weekend I Saw A Red Shoe Go Down This Same Street
Looked like a red LL Bean boot celebrating the Red Sox winning the world series. The things I have seen in Downtown Crossing would probably make a great exhibition of really weird photos. Not to mention what I have seen in the past nearly five years of being here.
So this development should not have struck me as odd. But I admit I did squeal like a little girl when I saw this. And began snapping away like a crazy person:
Enjoy It While It Lasts
Now I love the fact that the Red Sox won the World Series. The fact that the team went to from last to first. And that it happened this year, after the Marathon bombing makes it even more significant.
But sometimes I like to joke with the locals. The Sox winning the world series is really unique. They’ve been around for 112 years and have only won it eight times. The evil empire has been around for almost as long and won it 27 times. Today I saw a sign that said “Red Sox 2013 World Series Champions. I told my friends to take a photo of it, as the next time it will happen, their grandchildren will be in college.
Now it can be seen as being rather negative. Or just my weird sense of humor.
The Sox are the champs. May it stay so for a very long time. Nice beard George:
November
November is such a strange month on the calendar. September is still kind of summer. October is a wonderful fall month with the leaves changing. December is the Christmas month and when winter starts, for better or worse.
But November? What is that? Short days, less light. Rain. Darkness. I think they should just eliminate it. No, just kidding. But it makes for some dark work this month:

This Was Like Seeing Haley’s Comet
Go Sox!!! The Red Sox win the World Series. And I went to the celebration today. Seeing the Red Sox win the World Series is kind of like seeing Haley’s Comet.
Actually that only comes around once every 76 years and in their 112 year history, the Red Sox have only won the World Series eight times. I guess my chances with Haley’s Comet are better.
It was a wonderful feeling today to see the Red Sox today in their most triumphant moment. I’ve never been to a victory celebration like this one and it was amazing. I got to see the players, the owner, lots of confetti, cheering and general happiness.
Let’s Go Red Sox!!!!:
